I decided to do a little collage for two friends in one of the many late nights I had this past week. They are slick, fierce and always so articulate. One left me to go to New York and the other has arrived from Australia. They give the word friendship real meaning, thanks for being supportive, upfront and fun. I know it’s not the best photoshop skills but I am just getting back into it hehehe! Yes the illustrations are also done by me.

This film may be old, but the content, music and costumes are superb. Mrs. Robinson fascinates me, she is clearly riddled with pre-menopausal angst and terrified of her looks fading. Her hair, make up and wonderful costumes has me sold. And besides, she’s just sort of weirdly, hypnotically authoritative with a taste for adventure.Dustin Hoffman and Anne Bancroft both won the Oscars for their performances. It’s a must see if not for itself ,do it for her clothing.

There is something distinctively special about Grace Coddington the creative director of Vogue. The September Issue film was clearly Grace’s film -it was virtually impossible to walk away from this documentary without falling in love with her.
After all these years, she is still committed to her work and she is incredibly creative yet reasonable, her work is inspired by her travels and love for fashion. Grace’s editorials are such unique one of a kind work. I don’t know how she did it all, modeled, survived a serious car accident and climbed to the top of British and American Vogue… but one thing is for sure: She has it all. I’m glad to hear she is coming out with a Memoir. She is an inpiration to me. I would have a mini heart attack if I was able to “hang” with her for a few hours and pick out her brain.

Love these looks & am currently obsessed with Paola Kudacki’s photography.

This editorial for Vogue Paris, Nov 2008, still captivates me. By using the same model in every picture, Eniko Mihalik (who was 20 years old at the time of this shoot) gets more and more progressively beautiful as the ‘decades’ go by. It’s quite amazing how the overall look can be so malleable with tricks of the trade such as hairdos, facial expressions, make-up, and photography angles. No photoshop was used on the photos (so they say). Either way, I like how one can feel of the passage of time.

In love with Stylestalker’s new line. Very Australian cool.
